"Riders of The Year” is a program created to encourage a team of MCHC Members to ride their horses during the months of April through October. At the end of each year a team will be designated as “Riders of the Year”. Each team member will receive a prize.
Team - Will consist of the same 2- 6 club members that will ride together from April 1st through October 31st. Each team needs to have 2 new members (they could have been on a 2019 team or never participated) A member can only be on one team during a given year.
Name of Team - Each team will establish their team name for the season.
Tracking Riding Time - Each team will track their time (1 point for every hour each person rides) on the Riders of the Year Tracking Form. The form will be submitted on the first of each month, to Judy Scacci, at (Scacci@sbcglobal.net) The monthly results will be posted on the club website.
Prize - The winning team will be honored and prizes will be awarded at the November Member Meeting.
* Only paid MCHC members for riding season.
* No changes will be made to a team during the riding season.
Riding Time will be defined as:
* More then 1 team member riding per occasion.

Each team will pay a $10.00 registration fee for the riding season. Check and team members names should be sent to Judy Scacci, 14014 Davis Road, Woodstock Il 60098.

If you ride at any of the above locations in the indicated month you will be able to count 2X the points.
Example: lf your 6 member team rode Rush Creek in June or September for 2 hours. You would be entitled to 12 hours x 2 = 24 points.
If 2 or more of your team attend a scheduled MCHC Trail Ride - ADD 5 points to each rider’s total hourly score.
Ride at the Compeative Mounted Orienteering event at Rock Cut State Park on April 24th and ADD 5 points to each rider’s totally hourly score.
Throughout the contest you will be notified of other ways you can accumulate additional bonus points.
